The house is situated in a quite position in Pogerola, hamlet of Amalfi, 4.5 Km distance from the beach.
The stairs down to Mirella apartment are not particularly difficult and you can easily take your time to enjoy the scenery as you walk them. These stairways are very popular with tourists who choose to use them to get all the way to Amalfi as they offer many photographic opportunities. The nearest stop of the bus is at 800 meters by long way or by 200 steps going up. The centre of the village is accessed or by a stair of steps in 10 minutes or by a long way. There is a regular bus service which takes you directly to Amalfi’s main bus station on the port of Amalfi, where you can then board other buses to any of the villages along the Amalfi Coast that you wish to visit, or ferries to the islands and other ports.
Car parking is possible 500 meters far from the house, on the road.
In case you want to come by bus we can help you with luggage from the bus stop to the house; in case you need a porter for your luggage, this service will be available on request.
Villa Poggio Antico is well maintained and is finished from one year. This place is a haven where you could certainly lose yourself for a while as you rest and recuperate from the stresses of city living. Instead of awaking to the ringing sound of an alarm clock you may rise from your sleep to the distant sound of a rooster as the inhabitants here have been doing for centuries. |
