| Villa Vista offers just that – an incredible view, stretching lazily under the sun across to Capri. Sitting high on the mountaintop in charming Praiano, Villa Vista offers stunning views without paying the price of a climb : the villa is just a few steps down from the road. Enjoy an unforgettable sunset, “tramonto d’oro” or sunbathe on the classic terrace which runs the length of the house. There’s also an additional side terrace where you can dine “al fresco”.
The interior of Villa Vista is Amalfi Coast style meets old world elegance. A grand living/dining room gives you plenty of room for entertaining new friends or just relaxing after a day along the “costiera”. There is a large sofa, a wooden dining table, a single bed and a television (that extra bed costs € 100 per week) . There is also a hutch filled with ceramic pottery from the area and lots of little knick-knacks. Of the 2 bedrooms one is very spacious and bright, and with it’s painted ceiling, antique-style furnishings and beautiful sea view it almost feels like a princess’ room! The other double bedroom has a high bright window and is located on the rear part of the house, with no balcony. The living room and the main bedroom have soaring domed ceilings which are a rare find these days on the ever-modernizing coast. There are many lovely little details that make it evident that the owner really cares for this house and puts her Italian charm into its decoration.
There is a large kitchen with French doors onto a smaller terrace. It is complete with refrigerator, stove, microwave oven and a second table for more casual dining.
The bathroom has a combination tub/handheld shower and although certainly not grand in size, it is more than ample, unlike many tiny European bathrooms.
Enjoy a restful holiday under the sun in classic Amalfi Coast style. Parking free of charge is possible at the top of the villa, on the road. A car would be useful, but not necessary as there is a frequent bus that loops Praiano and Positano every hour until late, and to
reach Amalfi or Sorrento you simply catch the bus which stops on the main road just 200 steps away. There is a grocery store located 600 meters from the apartment (10 minutes walk) or you can go to the centre of Praiano, reached by the flight of 200 steps or by the shuttle bus that loops Praiano. |
